I was born in upstate New York and have been writing stories ever since I asked my parents to transcribe a story that began “Once there was kitties.” After learning about subject-verb agreement, I went on to study at Gettysburg College and Purchase College, where I obtained a B.A. in Literature, summa cum laude, in 2005. I then went on to earn an M.A. from Binghamton University in 2007 in English. Since then, I have taught middle school English in northern New Jersey where I currently live, along with my wife, toddler-age son, a neurotic dog and two cats.
My writing interests include literary fiction, history, fantasy and science fiction. I have been published in several anthologies and placed in several contests. I also work frequently as a freelance writer. My interests also include playing violin, bass, and air guitar, running, and making improvements on my creaky old house.
